Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Valid, active Louisiana Educator Certificate required Preference given to candidates with a Special Education (SPED) Educator Certificate; Elementary 1-5 Certificate applicants will also be considered Previous experience working in a self-contained classroom or with elementary special education students is highly valued Strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive learning practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalized instruction to elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each learners unique strengths and needs Collaborate with families, support staff, and general education teachers to ensure comprehensive student support Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports the social and academic development of all students
