Two Special Education Teacher roles are available on a contract basis, both starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 25, 2027. Your workday would span approximately 7:40am 3:00pm, totaling 35 hours per week with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch. There are openings for the following assignments: Position 1: Serve K-1st grade students in a self-contained classroom with significant needs. Youll focus on a small caseload of 5-6 students, ensuring individualized attention and support. Position 2: Teach within a Montessori setting in a self-contained environment, working with K-6th grade students and fostering growth in a child-centered educational model. Position 3: Guide 4th-6th graders in a self-contained classroom, continuing to make a lasting impact on older elementary learners.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience in self-contained classroom settings preferred Background working with students with significant needs, especially utilizing ABA methodologies and supporting challenging behaviors Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique strengths and goals Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote academic, behavioral, and social success Maintain open lines of communication with parents, staff, and support personnel Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate between $36-41.
