Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching credential/certification with eligibility in Massachusetts Previous experience working with students in grades 1-3 or similar elementary level Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, support staff, and families Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering growth in diverse learners Ability to adapt instruction to meet each students individualized needs

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and tailored support to students with special needs in grades 1-3 Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans in accordance with school and state guidelines Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed Maintain detailed documentation on student progress, behaviors, and communication with families Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as required
