About the Role As a KS2 Teacher , you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on developing outstanding literacy provision. You will inspire pupils, raise aspirations and ensure children develop the reading, writing, grammar, spelling and comprehension skills required to achieve their full potential. Working alongside a highly motivated, supportive and well-qualified team of teachers and support staff, you will contribute to an innovative learning environment where high standards and continuous improvement are at the heart of school life. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 2. Deliver high-quality literacy teaching across reading, writing, grammar, spelling and comprehension. Develop pupils' confidence, fluency and enjoyment of reading and writing. Follow the National Curriculum and ensure appropriate curriculum coverage. Differentiate teaching and resources to meet individual learning needs. Set ambitious expectations for pupil achievement and progress. Assess, monitor and record pupil attainment. Use assessment information effectively to inform future planning and teaching. Identify gaps in learning and implement appropriate interventions. Provide constructive feedback to help pupils understand their next steps. Create a stimulating, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment. Maintain high standards of behaviour and establish positive classroom routines. Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs. Work effectively with teaching assistants and other support professionals. Promote pupils' independence, resilience, confidence and love of learning. Contribute to curriculum development and the continued improvement of literacy provision. Work collaboratively with teachers across the school. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers. Communicate effectively with families regarding pupil progress and wellbeing. Attend parents' evenings, staff meetings and school events. Participate in CPD, professional development and education and training opportunities. Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attainment. Follow all school policies and procedures.
