Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students in a moderate classroom setting near Bridgewater, MA. This full-time contract position focuses on providing targeted instruction to students with moderate disabilities. Youll work alongside a multidisciplinary team, designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting materials to foster student growth and independence.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students with moderate disabilities Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Proficiency in modifying and differentiating curriculum and instruction Demonstrated ability to manage and support positive student behaviors Effective collaboration with therapists, paraprofessionals, and families Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, specialized instruction to students with moderate disabilities Develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to student needs Adapt general education materials and lessons to individual student requirements Teach functional life skills, social skills, and foundational academic content Implement structured positive behavioral interventions and reinforcement techniques Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress, behavior, and goals Serve as the primary point of contact with parents, providing regular updates and guidance Collaborate closely with support staff and therapists to ensure consistent, holistic support for students Enjoy comprehensive benefits including highly competitive compensation, consistent weekly pay, comprehensive insurance (medical, dental, vision, life), a matching 401k plan, and options for flexible spending accounts.
