: Therapeutic Intervention Program (TIP) - This program services children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The students receive specialized instruction that promotes generalization and coping strategies to natural environments.QUALIFICATIONS
: Massachusetts licensure:Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities Prek-8 (required) Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities, All (preferred). SEI endorsement, preferred. Master's degree with an emphasis in Special Education preferred. Demonstrated experience as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program. RESPONSIBILITIES
: Administer, score and analyze formal and informal data to be utilized in special education eligibility determination and Individualized Education Program development. Work with other special education staff, specialists, and administrative personnel in developing educational programs for special education students. Work in concert with members of the Evaluation TEAM to develop and write reasonably calculated Individualized Educational Programs. Complete evaluation and progress reports, educational plan information, and other data as required by local, state, and federal guidelines. Responsible for ongoing diagnostic/prescriptive programming for children with disabilities. Assist general education teachers in the implementation of modifications for inclusionary practices. Guide and direct teaching assistants to facilitate programming for the students. Support inclusionary practices to ensure student participation is in the least restrictive environment. Continue to grow in the position through attendance at meetings, conferences, seminars, through readings in professional literature, and through enrollment in college or university courses. Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Principal, the Special Education Building Administrator, and Director of Student Services.SALARY :
