JOB SUMMARY
Sizer School seeks a creative, collaborative, and student-centered Technology & Engineering Teacher to teach students in grades 7-12. The teacher will develop and teach engaging, hands-on courses that introduce students to engineering design, technology, digital design, computer-aided design (CAD), fabrication, and related digital tools. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping young people move from an idea to a design, prototype, test, revision, and finished product. Courses should give students opportunities to solve authentic problems, create original work, learn through experimentation, and understand how technology and engineering affect people, communities, and the environment. The courses will be aligned with the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Curriculum Framework, particularly the Technology/Engineering standards, as well as relevant Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) standards.
