Job Description

In Massachusetts, dedicated Special Education Teachers have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Contract positions are available for educators experienced in delivering individualized support across K-12 grade levels. Candidates will work in inclusive, resource, and specialized classroom settings tailored to student strengths and challenges. Key Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts Special Education License (required) Experience working in special education settings, preferably with varying caseloads (K-12) Strong knowledge of IEP procedures, adaptive strategies, and differentiated instruction Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including families, therapists, and school staff Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Flexibility to adapt instructional techniques for diverse classroom types, including inclusion, resource, and self-contained environments
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with a variety of disabilities and learning profiles Provide direct instruction and modify curriculum as needed to support student growth Monitor and assess student progress, communicating results and recommendations to families and appropriate team members Maintain accurate, timely documentation relating to student achievement and compliance requirements Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere where all learners feel valued and empowered Participate in professional development and ongoing learning to remain current with best practices in special education Educators in this role will have the chance to positively influence students, collaborate with supportive teams, and gain valuable experience across the special education spectrum.
