Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career supporting an inclusive learning environment as a Special Education Teacher for an 8th-grade classroom. This full-time, contract opportunity extends throughout the entire school year and provides the chance to make a lasting difference in students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Immediate interviews are available for motivated professionals who are passionate about special education.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Current and active Massachusetts Special Education License required Experience working with middle school students, especially in 8th grade, is preferred Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills Comfortable adapting instruction to meet a range of learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute lesson plans that adhere to IEP goals, ensuring individualized instruction for students with diverse abilities Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive and productive learning environment Attend IEP meetings, professional development, and staff collaboration sessions Provide direct instructional support in both inclusive and pull-out settings as necessary
