This contract Special Education teaching role calls for a passionate educator to provide instruction, intervention, and advocacy for young learners. Located in a collaborative school environment near Hingham, this assignment runs from September 1st to December 23rd, 2026. In this position, youll be responsible for a manageable elementary caseload, creating individualized education plans (IEPs), tracking progress, and implementing engaging curriculum adaptations. As a valued team member, youll work alongside general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure every student receives the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Certification:
Current Massachusetts special education teaching certification required Experience teaching elementary-aged students in a resource or self-contained classroom preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data documentation Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills Adaptability and creativity in instructional methods
Key Responsibilities:
