Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field (required) Valid state teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting preferred Strong understanding of various disabilities, IEP implementation, and differentiated instruction Outstanding communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability, creativity, and dedication to supporting diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility for all learners Provide direct instruction in small groups and one-on-one settings Monitor student progress and regularly update goals in collaboration with staff and families Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines Partner with general education staff to support classroom inclusion and student engagement Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities Working as a Special Education Teacher in this school is deeply rewarding.
