- Grade 10 Who Are We?
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-Teach 4 sections
- Teach one Academic Reinforcement class
- Support teachers by providing accommodation and/or modification to the curriculum for students eligible for special education.
- Work to ensure the rights of students with disabilities to be full participants in the general curriculum.
- Implement state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to special education.
- Participate in the development of and oversees implementation of IEPs for students eligible for special education.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Implement common assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
- Use data from formative and summative assessments to inform instruction
- Meet weekly with a grade-level content team and an interdisciplinary cohort.
- Participate in biweekly instructional coaching sessions to improve instructional practices.
- Act as advisor to a group of 8-15 students.
- Communicate weekly with students and families around academic and behavioral progress. Desired Skills and Characteristics of a LHS teacher:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred; appropriate Massachusetts DESE licensure required-this includes a passing score on the Communication and Literacy- Skills test and a passing score on the relevant subject matter knowledge test(s).
