Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Full-time certified Special Education Teacher for position in Lenox Public Schools beginning 26/27 School Year. Current Massachusetts teacher licensure in moderate disabilities, 5-12 required, with additional credentials in reading preferred. Experience with design and implementation of specialized instruction, co-teaching, curriculum modification for inclusion classes, advanced training in reading, as well as proficiency in diagnostic assessments and all aspects of the IEP process are beneficial. Must be able to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors and program administrators on student and program issues. Masters Degree also preferred.COMPENSATION

Salary ScaleLenox Public Schools provide a generous reimbursement toward the tuition and fees incurred in pursuit of a Masters degree for educators hired who do not yet hold a Masters degree.Lenox Public Schools is committed to supporting new educators through a comprehensive induction and mentoring program that fosters professional growth and ensures a smooth transition into our educational community.
