Job Description

Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working with students who have a range of disabilities and learning challenges Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and fellow teachers Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to meet each students unique educational goals Administer assessments, track student growth, and document progress in accordance with district and state guidelines Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure appropriate supports are in place Facilitate IEP meetings, contribute insights, and maintain thorough records Employ a variety of instructional strategies and behavioral interventions to enhance student engagement Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and resources This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated educator who values creativity, flexibility, and student success.
