Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student assessments and needs. Deliver specialized instruction aligned with state standards and student learning goals. Modify curriculum, assignments, and assessments to support diverse learners. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Implement behavior management strategies and intervention plans as needed. Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8 or appropriate early childhood level) required. Experience working with children ages 3-5. Experience working with students with a range of learning and behavioral needs. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
