Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher working full-time (37.5 hours per week) in a Developmental Learning Classroom. In this contract position, you will have the opportunity to inspire growth and facilitate meaningful progress for students with diverse learning needs. Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) Experience or strong interest in a developmental learning classroom Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Resourceful, creative, and committed to student-centered instruction Ability to foster a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Design and adapt instruction to meet the individual goals of students in the developmental learning classroom Implement IEPs and provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies Assess student progress and communicate results with families and team members Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to support students' needs Create a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom culture Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in special education This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students' academic and personal growth within a collaborative school setting.
