Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in an educational setting near Peabody, MA. This contract opportunity offers a supportive work environment where your specialized skills will help students from PreK through age 22 achieve success. If you are experienced in both consultative and direct service provision, this part-time role could be your next fulfilling step.
Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) credential required Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably across a wide age range Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 43 students Strong collaboration skills for consultative support with educational staff and families Flexibility and adaptability to address diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative services, with a focus on consultative support Work three days each week, 24 hours total, in a dynamic part-time capacity Serve students in a variety of educational settings, supporting grades PreK22 Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) geared toward student growth Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and family members Participate in team meetings to ensure continuity of care and best practices Maintain records and monitor student progress In this role, youll enjoy highly competitive pay, weekly payments for convenience, and access to a comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, vision, life coverage, matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
