Key Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification for Severe Disabilities (Moderate/Severe) Prior experience in substantially separate or intensive special education settings is highly valued Strong skills in collaboration with colleagues, therapists, and families Effective classroom management and creative instructional strategies Commitment to advocating for students' individual needs and celebrating their progress

Role Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small group instruction to students in the ABLES program, adapting lessons to meet a variety of learning and behavioral needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth, independence, and engagement Regularly communicate with families about student progress and collaborate on shared goals Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and teamwork
