Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth as a Special Education Teacher in a school-based setting near Salem, MA. This contract role offers an excellent chance to provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid special education teaching certification Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a K-12 school setting Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to differentiate instruction to address individual student strengths and needs Solid communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in adapting to changing needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans based on student IEP goals Collect data and monitor student progress, making timely instructional adjustments Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and families Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation and updating of plans Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and belonging Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal special education regulations This school-based contract opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise and compassion to make an immediate impact.
