Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Aug 27, 2026 Job Description- The Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2026-27 school year.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Moderate or Severe Special Needs required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with and/or teaching students with disabilities in inclusive educational settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of a range of disabilities and related needs.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts Curriculum Standards and research-based assessments and interventions.
- Strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy and high expectations for all students.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
