Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as a 7th Grade Inclusion Teacher at an intermediate school, working collaboratively to support student success. In this contract position, you'll partner with a co-teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and targeted interventions for a dynamic class of 26 students. This is a full-time opportunity aligned with the full school year, offering you stability and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience or strong interest in teaching at the middle school level Knowledge of inclusion practices and differentiated instruction Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Commitment to fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Co-teach in a 7th grade inclusion classroom alongside a partner teacher Plan and deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with IEPs Implement targeted interventions and monitor progress Support students' academic, social, and behavioral growth Maintain effective communication with families, staff, and administrators Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives Uphold all special education compliance standards and documentation Enjoy the advantages of competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as you work a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (7:40am-2:05pm).
