Qualifications Special Education Certification Full Job Description Qualifications:

Moderate or Severe Special Needs Certification required Experience working with students with significant social/emotional impairments/disabilities. Experience/background knowledge of Social Emotional Learning Curriculum and implementation Experience creating and implementing programming that supports the needs of students in both inclusion and Special Education settings Experience collaborating with general education teachers to create plans that support academic, social, and emotional learning of students on caseload

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of special education caseload of students in grades 2-4, ensuring implementation of and compliance with all mandates related to IEP process. Provide, if necessary, small group instruction of grade level content Develop therapeutic service delivery model in which all students improve social/emotional competencies to become self-sufficient and independent learners. Establish and maintain regular two-way communication with parents Manage and direct paraprofessionals to support the needs of students Collaborate with outside agencies to support social emotional team model, as appropriate Support transitions for students from elementary therapeutic programming and into high school therapeutic programming. Perform all such duties as assigned by the Principal and Administration of Special Education.
