Duties Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with educational standards, incorporating curriculum development and instructional design principles. Adapt teaching strategies for students with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, or other special needs, ensuring compliance with IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements and special education law. Utilize educational technology tools and learning technology to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement. Conduct assessments using standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instructional modifications. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, classroom management strategies, behavior management for students with special needs, and instructional modifications. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, behavioral health, and educational plans to foster a supportive home-school connection. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques, behavioral therapy strategies, and behavior management for students with disabilities. Incorporate therapeutic approaches such as speech therapy, music therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or recreational therapy when appropriate to support holistic student development. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and compliance records in accordance with educational regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, special education law, instructional modifications, and educational compliance. Experience Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with a focus on inclusive education practices. Demonstrated expertise working with children who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, or other special needs populations. Experience developing individualized instruction plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learner profiles. Strong background in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and recreational therapy. Familiarity with educational technology integration to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and experience implementing behavior management strategies for students with disabilities. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parent communication regarding student progress and well-being. Experience working in private schools or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Ability to adapt teaching methods for different age groups including toddlers through early childhood learners. Commitment to child welfare practices along with understanding of educational compliance standards related to special education laws.
