Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active MA licensure/certification for Moderate or Severe disabilities (required) School-based experience as a Special Education Teacher (required) Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with intellectual or developmental delays Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Successful completion of CORI search and fingerprinting (letter of suitability from previous employer for fingerprints may be accepted) Comfortable with Zoom interviews Responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs for assigned students Designing differentiated instruction to meet a variety of learning needs Collaborating with other educators, therapists, and families to support student goals Maintaining detailed, accurate progress records and reports Fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment onsite This role offers you the chance to expand your professional skills while making a positive, lasting impact in the community.
