You'll primarily serve a cluster of schools, delivering impactful vision services as outlined in each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Your schedule will follow the academic calendar, beginning August 31, 2026, with a consistent weekly commitment of 37.5 hours across five days.

Qualifications and Certifications Needed:

Valid credentials/certification for teaching visually impaired students, meeting all state and local requirements Demonstrated experience or educational background in working with visually impaired children preferred Familiarity with adapting general curriculum for vision needs and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams Capacity to travel between schools as necessary within the district

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and consultation in accordance with students' IEPs Adapt educational materials to suit a variety of visual needs Offer consultative support to staff and families, bolstering inclusion and academic progress Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning activities Maintain thorough documentation and ongoing communication with staff and families
