This contract opportunity offers the chance to utilize your specialized skills, foster growth, and collaborate with a dedicated team committed to student success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-specific credentials required) Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various age groups Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities used in Deaf education Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Creativity and flexibility to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in individual, small group, and/or classroom settings Assess students' abilities and progress using appropriate tools and techniques Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement Collaborate closely with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to integrate strategies throughout the school environment Guide families on resources and strategies to maximize their child's learning opportunities Maintain up-to-date documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and federal guidelines This role is ideal for passionate educators who thrive in supportive environments and are skilled at empowering students to reach their goals.
