Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embrace the chance to make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational environment. This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 14, 2027, offering the opportunity to develop strong connections with students and colleagues over several school years. You'll play a key role in a resource/co-teaching setting, providing instruction and support to a class of approximately 15 fourth-grade students. Your dedication will help students navigate their unique learning paths, empowering them to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Qualifications & Experience MD Special Education License (required) Experience with elementary-aged students, especially in resource or co-teaching environments Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Compassionate, patient demeanor and a genuine passion for helping students succeed Responsibilities Deliver small-group and individualized instruction aligned with students' IEPs Collaborate closely with general education teachers to support inclusive learning Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed Foster a welcoming, respectful classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and learning Maintain accurate records, assessments, and documentation in accordance with school policies Engage regularly with families and support staff to promote student growth This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to support and inspire young learners while working in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.
