Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students by taking on a Special Education teaching role in a contract position for the upcoming school year! Two full-time opportunities are available, each serving unique programs within local schools. One assignment focuses on the Learning for Life Program at the middle school level with a group of 15 students in a supportive environment. The other is an elementary self-contained classroom, providing guidance and instruction to 10 students. Both positions span August 17th through June 4th and require onsite presence. Your influence will be instrumental in shaping the academic and social success of each student. The day-to-day schedule follows standard school hours—7:30 am to 3:30 pm at the middle school, or 9:00 am to 3:30 pm for the elementary site.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the assigned age group (elementary or middle school, as appropriate) Experience or strong interest in working with students with diverse needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities Ability to develop and implement IEPs and individualized learning strategies Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, colleagues, and support staff Flexibility and adaptability in a classroom setting
