9631180-21701 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students in special education programs as a contract Special Education Teacher. Multiple positions are available serving both elementary and middle school populations in the Frederick, MD area. These opportunities run from ASAP through June 4, 2027, with a guaranteed weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply and will find a welcoming environment, as well as opportunities to work with a diverse range of students.

Available assignments include:

Middle School:

Life skills class, supporting 15 students

Elementary:

Self-contained classroom with 10 students

Elementary:

Self-contained classroom, focused on behavior interventions

Key Qualifications:

Valid Maryland Special Education Certification required Experience working in life skills and/or self-contained special education settings strongly preferred Strong classroom management and differentiation skills Compassion, adaptability, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Deliver engaging and effective instruction to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth Utilize evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families for student success Collect data and monitor student progress, adapting approaches as needed Work as a valued member of a dedicated team while building strong connections with students. The hourly pay for these roles ranges from $37$41, complemented by comprehensive healthcare benefits.
