Job Description
Category Schools - Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist Job Type Travel A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students during a teacher's leave in Newark, MD. This travel assignment offers the chance to provide expert instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing learners in a dynamic school environment. Responsibilities include delivering tailored educational programs, collaborating with staff and families, and using specialized communication methods to enhance student learning. You will assess individual student needs, adapt curricula, and implement strategies to promote effective communication and academic progress. Your expertise will ensure continuity and quality of instruction during the regular teacher's absence.
Key qualifications and experience:
Certification or licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Demonstrated experience teaching deaf and hard of hearing students Proficient in communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to work independently and manage classroom dynamics Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families Flexibility to travel and adapt to new school settings during assignmentsLocation:
