Qualifications:
Current MSDE certification as a Special Education Teacher is required Previous experience in early childhood special education strongly preferred Ability to manage travel between school locations within the workday (candidates must have reliable transportation and no travel restrictions) Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Comfortable adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs Flexible and solution-focused approach to challenges
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and support to early childhood students with special needs across multiple school sites Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Utilize diverse instructional strategies and assessments to foster student progress Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and school interactions Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and related service providers Engage in professional development and ongoing training as required Ensure scheduling and travel between locations is efficient—travel time is accounted for during your normal work hours This role offers valuable professional experience collaborating within a respected educational environment, working closely with a supportive community of educators and specialists.
