9582595-21666 Job Description A full-time contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Youll play a vital role in designing and delivering individualized instruction, helping students achieve their academic and personal goals in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with high school-aged students preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and the ability to adapt teaching to a variety of learning environments Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve a caseload of approximately 10 high school students, tailoring educational strategies to individual needs Provide instruction both within the general education classroom and in specialized settings, depending on student objectives Develop and implement IEPs, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed Partner with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and create inclusive learning experiences Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and ongoing goals Track student performance, behavior, and progress in compliance with district and state regulations
