Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic middle school setting. This contract position, running from August 17th through June 4th, offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' unique learning journeys within the Learning for Life Program. The schedule is full-time, with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and you'll be based entirely onsite, ensuring strong, consistent connections with students and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education (SPED) Teacher certification required Experience or genuine enthusiasm for working in a specialized middle school program Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive educational practices Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to cultivate a positive and supportive classroom environment for diverse learners
Your Role Will Include:
Providing tailored instruction and support to a caseload of 15 students within the Learning for Life Program Designing and implementing effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with regulatory requirements Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student success Monitoring student progress and adapting strategies to maximize growth and engagement Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student performance and interventions Step into an environment where your expertise is valued and your contributions shape the educational experiences of exceptional learners.
