Multiple Special Education teaching opportunities are available, each designed to make a meaningful impact in students lives through dedicated support and skill-building. There are three unique openings to match your expertise:
Middle School:
Lead a lifeskills classroom with approximately 15 students, providing trusted guidance in practical academics and daily living.
Elementary School:
Inspire a smaller, self-contained group of 10 students, fostering growth in a supportive elementary setting.
Elementary School:
Champion a self-contained classroom focused on behavior, utilizing structure and encouragement to see every child thrive. Enjoy a steady weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, all while being part of a travel-friendly, W2 contract arrangement.
Key qualifications:
Valid Maryland Special Education Teacher certification Experience and passion for working with elementary or middle school students in lifeskills, self-contained, or behavioral settings Comfortable managing diverse classroom needs with compassion and flexibility Ability to collaborate with a team of educators, therapists, and support staff Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Openness to contract work and adaptability to new environments Core responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs Employ effective teaching strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth Establish clear expectations, routines, and a positive learning culture Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, and colleagues to ensure student success Track progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation As part of this position, youll receive competitive hourly pay between $37 and $41.
