21204 Resource Teacher- Allied Sports Program (12-Month) United States Job Info Job Identification 2631 Job Category Teacher Locations United States Job Description Assists the Director of Athletics in the planning, development, and evaluation of the Allied Interscholastic Athletics Program in Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS).
Qualifications Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree. Three years of successful teaching and coaching experience. Experience working with the Interscholastic Allied Sports Program. Experience representing BCPS at the district level. Experience with IEP/504 students. Administrative experience preferred.Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment. OR Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Professional License appropriate to the area of assignment. Possession of a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional License is preferred. CPR, ED Concussion Management, and Care and Prevention Certifications required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public education. Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated strong leadership, management, and human relation skills. Possession of technology competency (e.g., database, Internet, spreadsheet, word processing, and related applications); skill and experience in data analysis and application. Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations of Baltimore County Public Schools and Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association pertaining to interscholastic athletics. Possession of knowledge of special education processes (teaming) IEP, etc., and compliance issues. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to maintain confidential information.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The work of this class is generally sedentary and performed in an office and school environment. Work includes the operation of office equipment, including personal computers, and occasional limited physical activities.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
