Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position is located in a dynamic school environment near Lewiston, ME and welcomes applications from both local professionals and travelers. You'll collaborate with supportive educational teams to provide specialized instruction and case management for students with diverse learning needs.
Caseloads are thoughtfully tailored:
educators with a resource classroom background will have no more than 15-20 students, while those managing 1:1 settings will oversee a group of 8-10 students. The weekly commitment ranges from 35 to 40 hours.
