Job Description
MSAD #53 is looking for a Special Education Tech I who is caring, compassionate and patient to join the special education team at one of our 3 schools (TBD) to work with our special education students. Students in this program have a wide variety of academic, functional and behavioral needs. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with the special education teachers to manage student behaviors and behavior plans as well as support students academically in the regular and special education setting in both small groups and one to one to meet students' unique needs.
Candidates must have an Ed. Tech I authorization or be eligible to apply for authorization through the Maine Department of Education, and must be fingerprinted through the Maine Department of Education.
This is a full time position (32.5 hours per week). Hourly wage is per the collective bargaining agreement.
