This contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate educators skilled in working with diverse learners and dedicated to fostering a positive classroom culture. Your expertise in special education will help guide students to reach their full potentialparticularly those with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. If you hold an elementary (282) certification, your specialized knowledge will be especially valuable for providing tailored instruction and support to younger students.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification; elementary (282) preferred Demonstrated experience supporting students with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education teachers, support staff, and families Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and the growth of every student Flexibility, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with IEPs Implement evidence-based interventions and positive behavior support strategies Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student goals Create safe, welcoming classroom environments that promote confidence and personal growth Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and classroom activities This is an exciting chance to support students as they build academic and life skills, all while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
