9651610-04074 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Resource Teacher. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2027, providing consistent and meaningful involvement in students academic journeys. Working 32.5 hours per week from 7:20 AM to 2:20 PM, youll enjoy Wednesday early-release for students, allowing time for educator collaboration and planning. As an integral part of the special education team, youll support 4th and 5th graders in a resource setting, helping guide them through both life skills and behavioral programs. The position blends classroom engagement with targeted supportmaking a genuine difference in each students day.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Experience supporting elementary (grades 45) in resource settings Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs Strength in working with students managing behavioral and/or life skills development Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families Adaptable and proactive approach to dynamic classroom environments Prior involvement in behavior intervention or life skills instruction strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to meet IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Track student progress, document data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed Foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate that encourages growth Participate in IEP meetings and planning sessions Maintain compliance with all federal and state special education requirements For in-person, on-site contractors (W2), comprehensive benefits are available. Those teaching virtually will need a 1099 contract and liability insurance, making flexibility possible. Hourly compensation ranges from $3438, depending on experience.
