9576040-04294 Job Description Make a meaningful impact on students lives as a Special Education Teacher working with middle and elementary school students in Adaptive Life Skills classrooms. This full-time contract opportunity, located in the Wilton, ME area, is available for the entire 20262027 school year. Youll work Monday through Friday in a supportive school environment helping students with varying needs reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

State of Maine DOE Licensure (282 or conditional accepted) Current CHRC (Maine DOE Background Check) Experience in elementary or middle school settings preferred Knowledge of adaptive life skills curriculum and behavior support strategies Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction to students in Adaptive Life Skills classrooms Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate closely with general educators, aides, related service providers, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities Foster a safe classroom environment to nurture social, emotional, and academic growth
