Special Education Teacher Consultant - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) (.8 FTE) Lenawee Intermediate School District - MI Adrian, MI 49221 Part-time Part-time
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
To assist students with impairments through consultation, counseling and tutoring, to reach their potential as mature, able and responsible adults A day in the life: A typical day involves evaluating students, providing IEP-based services, collaborating with teachers and parents, and completing required documentation. The role also includes making referrals, attending meetings, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations, all while focusing on supporting student growth and success. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential job function. EXPERIENCE
Required :
Master's Degree in Education 3 Years teaching experience Knowledge of basic sign language skills
Preferred:
Teacher Consultant approval by Michigan State Board of Education Experience as a Teacher Consultant CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and
REGISTRATIONS
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Weeks, salary, and fringe benefits per LIEA master contract. Salaried, Exempt .8 FTE
