Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students and make a significant impact by supporting a school district in need of a skilled Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide individualized instruction and support students in an onsite middle school resource room.
Desired Qualifications:
Current and valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement Prior experience working with middle school students and diverse learning needs Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in education
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and support in a middle school resource room Implement and modify instruction based on student IEP goals and learning needs Adapt curriculum and utilize specialized instructional strategies Collect, monitor, and document student progress Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in meetings, professional development, and relevant training sessions
