Two contract openings are currently available, with scheduling at either an elementary or middle school site—just indicate your preference when you apply. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid and active Michigan Special Education Teacher certification (please be ready to provide verification upon applying) Experience working with students in a resource room preferred Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Teach small groups of elementary or middle school students in a resource classroom setting Coordinate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support inclusion Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation Foster a supportive, engaging atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence This contract position runs from now through June 2027 and offers a structured weekly schedule totaling 35 hours per week.
