Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity is available for two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in a resource classroom setting. If youre passionate about creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive, consider making a difference in either an elementary or middle school settinglet us know your preference! This position offers a rewarding chance to guide students with diverse learning needs in a resource classroom, with caseloads of 10 elementary and 11 middle school students. Youll collaborate with other educators and participate in individualized education plan (IEP) development to foster student growth and inclusion.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Michigan Special Education Teaching License (please submit proof with your application) Strong understanding of special education laws, practices, and individualized instruction techniques Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students with diverse abilities is highly valued Excellent communication and organization skills Ability to build positive rapport with students, families, and staff
Role Details & Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to assigned caseload of elementary or middle school students in a resource room setting Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams Track and document student progress and adapt strategies as needed Foster an inclusive learning environment and ensure compliance with special education regulations Engage in regular communication with parents, support staff, and administration
Schedule & Details:
35 hours per week
Elementary:
7:55 a.m. 3:10 p.m.
Middle/High School:
