This contract opportunity is located near Dearborn Heights, MI, and offers the chance to use your expertise in a dynamic school setting. You'll work with an engaged staff to foster inclusive learning and help every student reach their greatest potential. What you'll bring: Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Michigan Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a school environment Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, specialists, and families Adaptability in managing varying caseloads and classroom settings Well-developed behavior management and communication skills Commitment to creating individualized learning plans and tracking student progress What you'll do: Provide direct instruction to students with exceptionalities, tailoring lessons to meet IEP goals Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to support student inclusion Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations Utilize data-driven strategies to adapt instruction and interventions Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development Additional information: Multiple positions available to serve varied needs within the district All grade levels may be considered; final caseloads and assigned schools to be determined upon placement District-provided supervision ensures you have the guidance and resources needed Onboarding includes standard background screening and fingerprint clearance Panel or 1:1 interview format, held on-site for an authentic introduction to the school community Ready to empower students in a supportive and rewarding environment?
