Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher working on a contract basis in a vibrant elementary setting. This position focuses on providing dedicated support to a single student, ensuring personalized attention and the chance to see real growth. Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification/licensure appropriate to Michigan requirements Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially beneficial in a team approach Ability to adapt to the unique learning and behavioral needs of a single student Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and academic support to an assigned elementary student with diverse learning needs Collaborate with paraprofessionals, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive educational plans Implement IEP goals, collect data, and monitor student progress regularly Foster a supportive, engaging classroom atmosphere tailored to the childs needs Participate in team meetings and maintain regular communication regarding the students progress and challenges Collaborate closely with other staff for an integrated approach to student success As part of this contract role, you will work 25-30 hours each week, following regular school-day hours.
