About Wing Classical Academy Established in 2024, we are starting our third year and seek educators who are excited to build a school that reflect's God's Order, Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Position Summary We are hiring a tracher for a combined 3rd/4th grade classroom who is also flexible to cover other classrooms, if needed. The ideal candidate will embrace classical pedagogy and teach with a Biblical worldview. A sense of adventure (flexibility and spontaneity) is a plus! Responsibilities Spiritual Development Exhibit love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity before students and the rest of the school. Be a student and lover of the Bible, God's only written word. Promote moral and ethical character development, encouraging students to grow in their faith. Professional Development and Conduct Remain current with educational best practices, Socratic teaching methods, and curriculum development. Collaboarte with colleagues, school leadership, and parents. Demonstrate professionalism and pride through work ethic, punctuality, speech, attitude, dress, and attention to duties. Classroom Management and Environment Maintain a neat, organized, and clean classroom environment, including student desk organization. Set up simple, efficient class routines and transitions. Provide the students with a daily schedule. Classroom Decorum and Discipline Create an orderly and joyful working atmosphere. Establish and enforce clear classroom rules and expectations for respectful interactions and a posture of focus and learning. Manage student behavior in a positive manner. Follow school behavior and consequences protocols. Lesson Preparation and Presentation Develop a lesson plan weekly which utilizies the Hillsdale K-12 and Rafiki curricula and programs. Present lessons using clear language and appropriate language, using classical pedagogy. Conduct regular assessments to gauge students' understanding and progress. Culture and Communication Establish relationships with parents through regular communication, noting positive behaviors and voicing concerns, according ot our "no surprises" philosophy. Cultivate postive working relationships with other staff by participating in morning stand-up, staff meetings, school events, and collaborative problem solving.

An authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. A genuine excitement and passion for Christian leadership. A strong committment to a Christian worldview and values, inclsuing a profession of faith in Jesus Christ.

Professional The teacher has:

A Bachelor's Degree Demonstrated committment to continued learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate fellow teachers and students. Experience teaching in a grammar school, with classical Christian curriculum, and classical pedagogy desired, but not required. Personal and General The teacher Has a strong work ethic. Communicates clearly and is organized Has enthusiasm for the school's mission.
