Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary or middle school learners in resource room settings. Two contract positions are available, allowing you to specify your preferred age group. You'll work closely with dedicated staff at both the elementary and high school level, helping students build critical academic and social skills in a supportive environment. This role begins as soon as possible and runs until June 10, 2027 (tentatively), with a 35-hour week.

Scheduling is school-based:

elementary school hours are 7:55 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., while middle school hours are from 7:35 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Key Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted Special Education Teacher license for the state of Michigan Experience teaching either elementary or middle school students, preferably in a resource setting Strong commitment to individualized education and differentiated instructional strategies Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and school staff Excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills

Your Responsibilities:
