State of Michigan Special Education (SPED) license required Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Previous experience working with special education students, including those with a variety of learning, behavioral, or physical disabilities Familiarity with Michigan school district protocols and state education requirements Strong collaboration, communication, and record-keeping skills Ability to tailor learning approaches and IEP goals to individual student needs Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students Providing direct classroom instruction and small group or individual support as appropriate Monitoring student progress, documenting growth, and adjusting instruction to maximize learning outcomes Working closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student success Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with local and state guidelines Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all learners Take advantage of ongoing professional support and resources as you nurture student achievement.
