Job Description

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team in Flint, Michigan. We partner with school districts nationwide to connect exceptional education professionals with meaningful opportunities where they can make a lasting impact on students. About the Position We are seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with disabilities while collaborating with families and multidisciplinary educational teams. Job Duties Develop and implement IEPs Provide specially designed instruction Differentiate curriculum and instructional materials Monitor student academic, behavioral, and developmental progress Participate in IEP meetings and evaluations Collaborate with general education teachers, families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Implement positive behavioral interventions Provide accommodations and modifications Maintain accurate special education documentation Ensure compliance with IDEA and Michigan special education requirements Requirements Bachelors degree or higher Valid Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate Special Education endorsement for the assignment Completion of an approved Michigan teacher preparation program Required clinical experiences, including student teaching Completion of applicable Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) examinations Required reading coursework for Michigan certification Appropriate special education endorsement matching the student population served Knowledge of IDEA and Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements Benefits Competitive rates Weekly pay 401(k) with employer match Tiered benefit plans Employee Assistance Program CEU and license reimbursement Ongoing professional support and advocacy Dedicated support throughout your assignment Travel Opportunities Blazer Jobs offers travel opportunities for eligible Special Education Teachers who want to expand their professional experience.
